Zootopia Land voor Shanghai Disneyland
Dit gaat denk ik ook gebeuren. Ik was gisteren in het park en de eerste zootopia hekken zijn verschenen tussen Winnie the Pooh darkride en 7 dwarfs (achteraan het winnie the pooh gebiedje)
Wat ik persoonlijk een hele rare locatie vind, mocht winnie blijven. Dan krijg een grote uitstulping van fantasyland wat totaal overbodig zou zijn aangezien er genoeg plaats is op plekken in de rest van fantasyland.
Toch zou ik het waanzin vinden als Disney echt door de knieën gaat voor Xi Jinping. Dan hoop dan in ieder geval dat de regering een grote zak geld neerlegt, want om in een park met capaciteitsproblemen attracties weg te halen om die rede is natuurlijk van de zotte.
Ondertussen zijnde eerste hekken neergezet en zal Zootopia zich tussen Winnie the Pooh en Sunken Treasure komen.
Prima en logische plek voor deze uitbreiding. Die kant van het park kon ook wel iets meer attractie's gebruiken.
Ben wel benieuwd wat dit betekend voor de paraderoute. Die is nu al inmens lang door het halve park, en die wordt zo te zien nu nóg langer op deze manier.
Toen ik er 2 jaar geleden was viel mij al op dat er naast de Seven Dwarfs coaster enorme paden waren aangelegd met daarop een enorm groot hek. Duidelijk aangelegd voor de toekomst. En zie hier, de toekomst wordt gebouwd. Enig minpuntje; dit gebied sluit niet aan op the hub maar wordt als het ware een beetje achter Fantasyland geplaatst.
Oh well; als het maar gaaf is.

Naja is dat erg Danny, dat het niet op de hub aansluit? En Toy Storyland sluit nu ook al niet aan op de hub. Half Hong Kong Disneyland sluit ook niet aan op de hub, vind het daar ook niet storend ofzo.
In Hong Kong zijn het juist de leukste delen die niet op de Hub aansluiten 
Ik denk niet dat het een probleem is, zolang het maar geen overbelasting voor andere themagebieden (dus nu Fantasyland) betekent.
Daarbij, Shanghai Disney heeft juist de inzet om geen Hub and Spoke layout te hebben. Ik vind het allemaal wel prima zoals ze nu bezig zijn.
Tijdens D23 is er ook nog een nieuw concept tekening van de uitbreiding in Shanghai voorbij gekomen. 
Ik vind het er in iedergeval top uit zien.
Er is enorm veel Zootopia merchandise verkrijgbaar in Shanghai Disneyland, de film is echt razend populair in China. Zelfs de constructiemuur was populair om foto's mee te maken, werd zelfs reclame voor de muur gemaakt in de bus. 
Ik ken de film eigenlijk helemaal niet buiten dat ik de figuurtjes wel eens voorbij heb zien huppelen in een filmpje, maar dit ziet er als gebied sfeervol uit.

Het is een lange tijd stil geweest, maar er is een foto op twitter verschenen van de bouwwerkzaamheden.
Meh, ik vond Zootopia op z'n best 'forgettable'. De Belle-en-het-Beest-uitbreiding in Tokyo spreekt me duizend keer meer aan.

Shanghai Disney Resort has announced that construction has started on Shanghai Disneyland’s immersive Zootopia expansion, with site preparation work now completed.
The Zootopia attraction will be Shanghai Disneyland’s eighth themed land. It will also be the first Zootopia-themed expansion at a Disney park.

“This is an immensely exciting time for Shanghai Disney Resort and Zootopia fans alike,” said Joe Schott, president and general manager, Shanghai Disney Resort. Since we announced the development of our new Zootopia-themed land earlier this year we have been overwhelmed by the excitement and anticipation expressed by fans from across China and around the world.”
Zootopia will be located adjacent to Fantasyland. It will be a diverse and vibrant city inhabited by characters from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film.
These will include Nick Wilde and Judy Hopps, as well as Flash the Sloth, Gazelle, Officer Clawhauser, Chief Bogo and Yax the Yak. Shanghai Disneyland currently features a themed construction wall with characters from Zootopia, including Flash and polar bear. More characters will be added to the wall in the coming months.
Zootopia is the second major expansion of Shanghai Disney Resort, following the opening of Disney Pixar Toy Story Land.
“We are pleased to announce the start of main construction for the new land today, a significant milestone in its development. This expansion demonstrates Shanghai Disney Resort’s commitment to bringing new and unique experiences to our guests, offering more reasons for them to come visit us again and again,” added Schott.
