Zoals we weten is Disney druk bezig met twee dikke Star Wars gebieden, één in Anaheim en deze in Disney's Hollywood Studios. In de Hollywood Studios is de (gedeeltelijke) opening voorzien voor 29 augustus, dus ga je na die tijd naar Disney World, dan weet je wat voor drukte je te wachten staat 😉
Er komen twee massive attracties:
Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run
Deze state of the art simulator laat de gasten interactief bezig zijn:
The attraction will put multiple guests into the cockpit of the Millennium Falcon, where they will each have a specific job during a mission. The outcome of the ride's events and the performance of the guest will give them a reputation that will affect other experiences within Galaxy's Edge beyond the ride itself. The official name of the ride has yet to be revealed, though internally, it has been given the working title "Big Bird". Originally, guests were to have complete control over the Falcon's path. Disney later changed this over fears that certain guests would intentionally crash it in seconds to ruin the experience for other guests for their own pleasure. During the ride, lights will flash to tell guests when they need to interact with particular buttons and switches in the cockpit.

On March 28, 2018, it was revealed that Instead of a traditional ride film, the Millennium Falcon ride film is being developed by ILM Experience Lab as a real-time rendered experience in partnership with NVIDIA and Epic Games. The "ride film" will run on the Unreal Engine and be powered by a group of eight NVIDIA Quadro P6000 GPUs, with five QuadroSync projectors offering ultra-high resolution picture.

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance
Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance was announced as an upcoming attraction found at the Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge themed area of Disneyland, Disney's Hollywood Studios and Walt Disney Studios Park. The attraction will put guests into the middle of a battle between the First Order (including stormtroopers) and the Resistance, and feature an eight-seat ride vehicle known as a First Order Fleet Transport. At one point guests will appear to be inside a Star Destroyer hangar bay. The ride will partly involve a rescue that doesn't go as planned, with a hijacked First Order Fleet Transport being part of the rescue.[1] Like all events portrayed in Galaxy's Edge, the ride takes place between The Last Jedi and Star Wars: Episode IX.
