Discussions for Paramount theme park in the region
Given the success of these two hotels, the EVP has a “strong ambition” to ramp up operations in the Middle East. While he couldn’t give exact details, he said the hotels have given him the impetus to open a theme park in the region, likely the UAE.
He revealed: “In this region, we have a large ambition for all of our brands. Each one of them has a role to play in the region through a variety of products. There are a lot of places in the Middle East where we would love to have a Paramount theme park and a hotel together.
“We could do a water park in Dubai and when the market is ready, we could do an entire theme park. It’s clear from these hotels that the market really resonates with Paramount. That gives us confidence that the region will embrace us as we grow.
“We want a Paramount theme park in this region. It could take the form of just a Paramount Pictures park, or it could be a variety of Paramount Global brands.”
Los van of dit dus een betrouwbare bron is, wordt er hier wel gesproken over een mogelijk thema- of waterpark in het Midden-Oosten. Lijkt mij een bijzondere strategie aangezien de parken nog steeds niet heel populair zijn.
“It’s a little while for a theme park from us in Dubai but we definitely believe it can happen. And there are a lot of ideas for an indoor-outdoor concept. This region requires the highest level of quality.
“Nobody in the region has quite conquered the indoor-outdoor experience we’re thinking of. You want somewhere you can be both indoors and out. Water is a big part of our plan, it will be a wet and dry park.”
Het ziet er naar uit dat dit een plan is voor op de lange baan met op korte termijn hotels in bijvoorbeeld een Nickelodeon thema zoals ook al gebouwd in Mexico. 😄
